Steve Korthuis, DPT

Steve Korthuis grew up as the sixth of seven siblings on a farm outside of Lynden. He graduated from Northwestern College in Iowa and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University. He married Robin Bajema in 1992 and together they moved back to Lynden in 1995. Two years later they opened Lynden Family Physical Therapy. Since then, Steve has developed several areas of interest including shoulder biomechanics and rehabilitation, total joint replacement rehabilitation, balance and vertigo treatment, low back and sciatic pain relief, and orthotic fabrication. Through research based exercise and manual therapy, he promotes the “Keep Moving” approach to rehabilitation. He serves as a Clinical Instructor for several universities throughout the United States and has been an active member of the APTA, Orthopedic Section, and Private Practice Section for over 20 years. Steve and Robin have one son-in-law and 5 children of their own. They enjoy spending time with family and serving at their church.
